1. Decide on a job role! What will your apprentice be doing? How can you help them develop in this role? What training will you and your training provider offer? What salary will they be on? What hours will the apprentice work?

2. Choose your training provider! Different training providers have different delivery methods, deliver different qualification and have different ways to support recruitment! It is up to you to choose the training provider you think is the best match for your business! Your training provider can support with all aspects of deciding in the job role and ensuring you know all there is to know about the apprenticeship scheme. 3. Start recruiting! Your training provider will advertise the role on the National Apprenticeship Service website for you. You can use as many other advertisement methods as you wish, including recruitment websites, social media, notice boards, word of mouth etc to find the right candidates for your role.

4. Offer a job! You have interviewed and found the right person, now it’s time to tell them the good news and get a start date in the diary! Your training provider will arrive shortly after the start date to sign up your new team member on to their Apprenticeship qualification.
