Driving Business Success are pleased to announce Tom Chown of Digitom as guest speaker at next event.

Driving Business Success are pleased to announce the date for their third event, which will be held on Thursday 17th of March at Steel Cross, the home of Crowborough Rugby Club. The popular networking event which has previously featured talks from Paul Andrews & Matt Turner is a great opportunity for local businesses to network over breakfast and meet other business people.

Continuing with a marketing theme, the topic for the next event will focus on the use of video in marketing. We are delighted that we have secured Tom Chown of Digitom as our guest Speaker. Digitom Ltd is a professional broadcast video production company whose clients range from local SMEs to Global brands including HSBC and Pfizer. Tom will be talking about using video to promote your business and offering some useful hints and tips.

Tom was Highly Commended TV Journalist of the Year 2008 and has also been recognised with the Award for Best Corporate Communications by the Beer Writers’ Guild for the “Proud of British Beer” film he produced for SIBA in 2011.

Employed by the BBC for 5 years, Tom worked across news, documentary, online and investigations. In 2006, he travelled to Base Camp Barneo in the North Pole to produce a series of features for BBC News 24 and Nations & Regions. The footage was edited remotely in Svalbard and filed over the internet to the UK within 24 hours, a global first for getting pictures from 90°N.

Underpinned by his deep experience in format development, location and studio directing, Tom has an intuitive understanding of branding and social media awareness. With an instinctive eye for self-shooting, his track record at the BBC across current affairs, news and investigations continues to drive his passion for film-making.

In 2010 Tom founded Digitom Ltd, a boutique video production company producing films and animations for clients across a range of sectors including financial services, insurance, pharmaceutical, property management, brewing and construction. Working with a core team of professional cameramen, editors and designers/animators no two projects are the same.

The event is kindly sponsored by Runway Training and Speldhurst Sausages and includes a full English breakfast.
